A #1 bestseller, PERMA BLUE Liquid Gun Blue is the proven way to touch-up scratches and worn spots or to completely re-blue most guns. It will give a non-streaky, even blue-black finish to steel (except stainless). All parts to be blued must be thoroughly cleaned with a metal cleaner such as Birchwood Casey Cleaner-Degreaser and any rust must be removed before applying the blue.

Super Blue^®  Liquid Gun Blue

A double strength blueing solution designed for blueing the highly polished steel parts and hardened steels containing nickel and chrome alloys. Super Blue is the blackest blue but is not as easy to use as Perma Blue to get an even, non-streaky finish. Use caution to confine the solution to the area to be re-blue as it will have an effect on the existing blue. Usually one application is sufficient followed by an application of Sheath to enhance and protect the finish. 

The longest lasting finish, but slower to darken than the liquid blues. Easy to use, Perma Blue Paste Gun Blue reacts slowly with the metal but builds up a denser finish that will outlast the liquid blues. Excellent for touch-up or complete reblueing. Metal must be clean and free of rust (like the liquid blues) and sealed with Sheath^® Rust Preventive to enhance and protect the finish. A dark blue color may require three or more applications of Perma Blue Paste but each coat takes only 30 to 60 seconds to work. Complete instructions on each tube. Apply with swab or “Q-tip.”

Fast-acting liquid used by gunsmiths and industry to blacken or antique brass, copper and bronze parts. Easy to apply with no dimensional change. Often used to mark cartridge cases to identify loads. Excellent for blackening name plates, plaques, castings, sculptures and other home, workshop and hobby uses. Color varies depending on alloy and can be highlighted if desired.
