SHARPS PTD, The name that shooters and collectors all over the world dream about. To satisfy the request of our customers and shooters, some years ago, we started a project for the production of one of the most famous rifles of the American Civil War. We are now proud to introduce this new range of rifles that includes all the most significant versions among the paper cartridge and the metal cartridge models. For both, Military and Sporting Models we have used the best materials and latest techniques, so to ensure a top quality product. The most important parts are machined from forged metals for maximum durability and strength. The stocks are made from American walnut and the Sporting models are hand checkered. The deep rifling is broached and ensures excellent results in long distance shooting. Today, as in the past, they are used for target shooting and hunting. With the faithful reproduction and with the quality of the materials used, they are the preferred choice of shooters and collectors worldwide.

All Pedersoli rifles come with a one year guarantee for the movable parts, a manual and a videotape showing the correct use and maintenance of a black powder rifle. Spare parts are also available for each rifle.

The Three Paper Cartridge Sharps Models Are:

Sharps 1859 / 1863 Sporting Rifle

The Sporting Model (1863) - Characterized by a brown barrel, fully adjustable rear sight (tapped to accept a Creedmore Sight for long range shooting and the tunnel front sight with interchangeable inserts), double set-double phased trigger and comes in either .451 or .54 caliber.
It has a 32” octagonal barrel with a 1 in 22 twist with 6 groves for the .451 caliber and a 1 in 47 ¼” twist with 6 grooves for the .54 caliber, its overall length is 48 13/16” and weighs 10.15 lbs.

 Sharps 1859 Cavalry Carbine

The Cavalry Model (1859-1863) -  Feature a blued 22” round barrel in .54 caliber having a 1 in 47 ¼” twist with 6 grooves and a fixed rear sight. It has an overall length of 39 3/16” and weighs 8.15 lbs.

1859 Infantry - Berdan

1859 Infantry - Berdan - Infantry Sharps comes in .54 caliber with a Single Trigger and a 30 inch barrel. The Berdan Military Sharps Rifle also comes in .54 caliber with Double Set Triggers and a 30 inch barrel. A Walnut stock houses the 30 inch barrel that has a 1 in 48 inch twist and 6 groves.  Can use Brass Cartridges #83-970 listed below.

1863 Cavalry Sharps

1863 Cavalry Sharps - Comes in .54 Caliber with a 22 inch round barrel. The cavalry Sharps Walnut Stock comes with either a Patch Box or without a Patch Box. The 22 inch barrel has a 1 in 22 inch twist and 6 groves.

Chamber Sleeve Removing Tool

Used with the black powder Armi Sport SHARPS, this brass tool allows the chamber sleeve to be removed for cleaning. An allen wrench (not supplied) tightens the brass tool into the sleeve, and then going through the muzzle of the gun, you can push the sleeve out. On the Carbine Sharps this will allow the sleeve to come out of the breechblock area. On the Berdan model it will loosen the sleeve towards the block, the sleeve won't come all the way out, but this tool will allow proper cleaning of the chamber sleeve.
