1870 "Slim Jim"

The 1870 "Slim Jim" is the highest quality scabbard holster available, modeled after fine examples of the Frontier West. Comes either Straight Hang or Cross draw. Available for all Percussion and Single Action Pistols.

This holster has been cataloged by El Paso Saddlery since the 1890's. It was worn by Captain John R. Hughes and John Selman (the man best known for murdering John Wesley Hardin), among others. Features: Slight rearward cant, Hammer thong standard, Crossdraw available, Available for most Single Actions and Double Actions.

Our famous "Texas Jock Strap" originating in the 1890's. Features: Closed bottom holster, Neutral cant standard, Crossdraw available, Available for most Single Actions (4 3/4" to 7 1/2" barrels)

This holster is modeled after John Wesley Hardin's hip holster. He used it to carry his Smith & Wessons #3 American revolver. Features: Lining standard, 6 cartridge loops standard (.38-.357 or .44-.45), Straight hang or crossdraw, Available for Colts, Colt Clones, Vaqueros, Blackhawks, and Schofields (5" to 10" barrels).

Made from one piece of leather which is folded over and sewn along the seam. Popular in the West, due to its ability to support a pistol as well as to conceal important papers and coins. 2 1/2 inches wide, full cartridge loops are standard.

A heavy single-thickness cartridge belt, available with 12, 24, or 36 cartridge loops (special loops on request).

#3 - "Deluxe Blackpowder Belt"

Just like our #2 Texas, without the cartridge loops. 2 1/2 inches wide.

A heavy single-thickness belt, that is make to carry any combination of rifle and pistol cartridges. 4 1/2 inches wide.

1 - Give your ACTUAL WAIST SIZE by measuring a pants belt that fits. Measure from the outer edge of the buckle to the most used hole (as shown in the drawing). Your pants belt should be 2 inches larger than your pants size.
2 - When ordering a GUNBELT that is to be worn over clothing, please send your PANTS SIZE and the CENTER HOLE measurement. The CENTER HOLE  is determined by using a tape and measuring your waist at the spot and angle that the belt is to be worn. Your GUNBELT is typically 4" to 5" larger than your pants size.

Military Belts

Standard issue Civil War style holster with full flap design. Right hand twist draw was standard military issue.

Available for most Cap and Ball revolvers, many Single Action and some Double Actions.
 Not available for guns with adjustable sights.
